Sihanoukville, also known as Westport, is located in southwestern Cambodia, about 232 km from the capital, Phnom Penh. It is Cambodia's premier seaside tourist destination. It is located on a peninsula in the Gulf of Thailand with beautiful beaches along the coastline. And a number of tropical islands scattered around the sea. A city with sea resources, Sihanoukville is famous for its tourist attractions. There are pleasant white sand beaches, eco-tourism spots, islands, marshes, Ream National Park, waterfalls and many other attractions. Tourist popularity has increased year by year. In January 2018, the New York Times published 52 international tourist destinations around the world, with 13 beaches in Sihanoukville. Westport has 4 main beaches, Sokka Beach, Otres Beach, Independence Beach and Victory Beach. The beach is gentle, the water is clear and the waves are calm. The water is only over the knees when entering 50 meters away from beach. The air is fresh and pollution-free. This allows you to go diving, swimming , and sunbathing.

Sokha Beach

Sokha beach is the most famous beach in Sihanoukville. It has a natural white beach and stretches for 1 km. It has a white sandy beach and a peaceful sea floor. It is very quiet and has a good sunset view. Sokka Beach, also known as the Sokka Resort, is a private beach and not open to the public . If you want to spend a holiday at Sokha Beach, you could pay a little more and enjoy the luxurious swimming pool and other facilities in Sohka.

Independence Beach

Because it is located in front of a 7-storey Independent Hotel, it is also known as 7-Chann Beach, which is a quiet and beautiful beach, ideal for vacationing with family and enjoying the joy of life and the beauty of nature. There is a row of mushroom-shaped grass sheds on the beach. Victory Beach

Located in the northwest corner of Sihanoukville, Victory Beach is over 2 kilometers long and is divided into two sections by reefs and hills. There are large cargo ships coming and going in the northern section. There are more tourists here. It is the best place for Sihanouk to watch the sunset. The southern section is also called Hawaii Beach and King Beach, where you can charter a boat. The sunset of Victory Beach is a wonderful moment that cannot be missed. The vast view, the colorful and unpredictable clouds are definitely worthwhile.

There are 22 islands near the coast of Sihanoukville. However, many islands are in the development stage. At present, Koh Rong Island and Koh Rong Samloem Island are the most mature and most popular islands. There are many amusement facilities on the island and it is an ideal holiday destination.

Koh Rong Island

Koh Rong Island is the largest of all the islands in Cambodia. It covers an area of 78 square kilometers and is very convenient to reach. Located about 26 kilometers west of the Sihanoukville coastline, it has hills, vegetation and forest views. In the past few years, Koh Rong Island has experienced tremendous development . There are various types of hotels, restaurants and beach bars on the island. Koh Rong Island is famous for its “party island”, but its original undeveloped part is also well protected.

Koh Rong Samloem

Koh Rong Samloem Island is the sister island of Koh Rong Island, located in the south. The island of Saarland has stunning beaches, lush forests and beautiful hills for hiking. This sea area is rich in marine life and has many good diving spots. This island is quieter than Koh Rong Island and is perfect for honeymoons. A daily ferry service is available at the hotel on the island of Saarland.

Long Island

Snake Island

Snake Island is about 800 meters from Victory Beach. It is currently under construction and is planned to transform the island into a luxury resort and a luxury sea view home. There are road bridges that connect Snake Island directly to the mainland, but they are not yet open to the public.

Song Saa Island

Ream National Park

Ream National Park is a popular tourist destination and is easily accessible from downtown Sihanoukville.
